Josephine | February 2020 Newsletter
I’d like to introduce you to Josephine, a thirteen year old blind girl living in West Africa.
“Even though I cannot see, I know I’m made in God’s image.”
“My favorite verse is [Genesis 1:27, KJV], So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them,” says Josephine
In 2016, Josephine enrolled at The Village of the Light School for the Blind. There she attended a twelve week gospel program by Operation Christmas Child called The Greatest Journey.
Josephine says, “I learned in class that God is powerful. It is He who gives us life and directs us. I learned about Jesus, that He took our sins and He died on the cross for our sins.”
In 2019, Samaritan’s Purse shared the story of Josephine on their YouTube channel and Facebook webpage.
That’s when we heard Josephine’s testimony and knew we had to get an accessible Audio Bible into her hands.
“Somehow, someway, someone will place this device into Josephine’s hands to keep forever! I hope she loves this Bible so much that she shares the Word of God with all of her classmates, her family and her friends!” said Susan, an Aurora Ministries associate.
After only a few days, Susan was able to reach someone who could make sure our Audio Bible player would be given directly to Josephine.
It’s nothing short of a miracle for our ministry to the blind to hear the story of Josephine, a blind girl from halfway around the world, and then be able to provide her with a free accessible Audio Bible.
Miracles are precious, especially when they transform a life robbed of sight or ability—by bringing one precious soul a free copy of God’s Word in a format they can use.
Many more Josephines wait for their miracle story.
That’s why I’m asking you to prayerfully consider a gift to help us provide more Audio Bibles.
Millions of blind and visually impaired people from all around the world are without access to the Bible.
Josephine thanks you for hers. And somewhere out there, another longing heart is poised to thank you for yet another. Will you please send your support today?
